Belarusian People's Republic Rada Chairman congratulates the Belarusians on Freedom Day.
Chairman of the Council of the Belarusian People's Republic Ivonka Survila has addressed to Belarusians on the anniversary of the declaration of independence of the BPR.
"On behalf of the Council of the Belarusian People's Republic, I congratulate you on the anniversary of the glorious day when our people, after a long captivity, established their first modern independent state - the Belarusian People's Republic, - the Chairman of the BPR Council said. - I dedicate this year's address to the heroes who after the August "elections" came out in hundreds of thousands to the streets of our cities under white-red-white flags and to all the Belarusians abroad, who supported them in their struggle for truth and human dignity, taken away from them 26 years ago by the traitors in the service of the neighboring empire".
"I want to tell all of you, my dear friends, how proud I am of you. Three years ago, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the BPR, I expressed my confidence that you, our youth, would free Belarus from the dictatorship, and that despite the fact that you have suffered 26 years under the boot of the communist heir, your invisible weapon is your sense of belonging to the Belarusian land and your genetic memory - will overcome all obstacles in your way, namely the fear that the dishonest usurper who rigged the elections hoped for," - the statement says.
"The process has begun, - Ivonka Survila is convinced. - I believe that the abuse, which the authorities still allow themselves, will soon give way to a bright, free and democratic Republic of Belarus. In the meantime, I beg you, don't give up hope! Stay united under the sign of Pahonia. Your solidarity, your heroism, your love for your homeland and the people most dear to you, your brothers and sisters Belarusians, will defeat the inhumane regime that has been torturing you for 26 years. I believe that, as our anthem promises, together we will "revive the life of our republic. So - may God grant it! Long live Belarus!"
