AFU Destroy Leading Staff Of Russian 58th Army In Melitopol

The consequences of powerful strikes in Zaporizhzhia region have become known.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have destroyed the leading staff of Russia's 58th General Army in temporarily occupied Melitopol. This was reported by the Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff in its report.

In addition, the AFU has dealt a number of other painful blows to the occupying army in Zaporizhzhia region.

"The defeat of the enemy by the Ukrainian Defence Forces in the previous days in Zaporizhzhia region has been confirmed. Thus, in addition to destroying the leadership of the 58th Army in the city of Melitopol, three artillery pieces, up to 10 pieces of military equipment of various types and about 150 enemy servicemen were wounded in the areas of Energodar, Tokmak and Gulyaypole," the summary of the General Staff said.

The 58th Combined Arms Army is an operational association of the Russian Ground Forces, which is part of the Southern Military District. Its units were involved in the genocide of the Chechen people in the 1990s-2000s, as well as in the Russian war against Georgia in 2008.

We remind you that on Saturday evening, December 10, residents of Melitopol, temporarily occupied by Russian troops, heard more than ten loud explosions. These were strikes by the AFU against Russian bases. According to city mayor Ivan Fedorov, consequently, there are too many 200 and 300s among the occupiers after these strikes.
