Last night, users of Belarus faced restricted access to the Internet. According to a number of Belarusian Telegram channels, the problems affected websites, messengers, social networks and the YouTube video hosting.

The outages lasted for several hours across the country, but the majority of users retained access to all services when using VPN. Internet connection was restored at about 2.30-3.00.

Beltelecom's website reported the planned work on 10 January 2025. The message noted that from ‘00.00 to 07.30 there may be restrictions on Internet access for subscribers of Minsk, Homel and Homel region’.
