New Traffic Law Being Prepared In Belarus

It has become known who will be affected and whether it will be necessary to change the license.
The document has already been adopted by the “deputies” of the “house of representatives” in the first reading.
The initiator of the changes to the traffic law was the Council of Ministers of Belarus — they prepared a bill at the end of last year, BelTA reports.
What is proposed to change?
Firstly, the age limit for obtaining a category F license (we are talking about self-propelled agricultural vehicles) will be lowered. Currently, such licenses are issued upon reaching 18 years of age, the Council of Ministers proposes to allow Belarusians who have reached 17 years of age to drive agricultural machinery.
Secondly, the document provides for an increase in the maximum permissible engine power for wheeled tractors and self-propelled vehicles of categories C, D, E, F.
Will it be necessary to obtain a new driver's license after the bill is approved?
The document stipulates that all previously issued driver's licenses will remain valid — there will be no need to change them until their expiration date. The main thing is that the document confirms the right to drive wheeled tractors, self-propelled vehicles of the categories specified in these licenses.
