Russian aviation carried out an airstrike on a nursing home in the city of Sudzha in the Kursk region. There were elderly people there.

RBC-Ukraine reported citing the press officer of the military commandant's office in the Kursk region, Alexey Dmitrashkivsky, on the air of the telethon.

"Yesterday evening (January 11, - ed.) Russian aviation carried out two air strikes in the area of the nursing home in the city of Sudzha. As a result, a woman received a lacerated wound to her hand. As of this morning, this woman had died," the speaker said.

According to him, the premises of the nursing home were badly damaged, all the windows and doors were knocked out.

The speaker added that elderly people were on the Internet, many of them were people with disabilities.

"The question arose of where to move these people. The people are all elderly, there are a lot of people with disabilities, Parkinson's disease, post-stroke, one person with a mental illness. That is, the condition of people at the moment is quite serious," explained Dmitrashkivsky.

He added that there are about 2,000 people in the territories of the Russian Federation that are controlled by Ukraine. There are more than 70 people in the boarding school that was shelled by the Russians.
