Republicans Prepare Bill Granting Trump Authority To Buy Greenland

A group of Republicans in the United States Congress has drafted a bill that would give the legal authority to buy Greenland to Donald Trump, who has repeatedly spoken about it.

This is reported by Fox News.

It is noted that the Republican from the state of Tennessee Andy Ogles along with 10 fellow party members proposed a bill called ‘Make Greenland Great Again’ (Make Greenland Great Again Act).

It states that a sitting US president would be able to begin negotiations with Denmark to buy Greenland immediately after his inauguration, and once a deal is done, he can notify Congress (as budget manager).

‘American economic and security interests will no longer be sidelined, and Republicans in the House of Representatives stand ready to help Trump succeed in the interests of the American people,’ Ogles explained.
