Tens Of Thousands Of Belarusians Granted Polish Residence Permits In 2024

Regarding the number of permits, Belarusians were in second place among foreigners.

In 2024, 42,000 citizens of Belarus received positive decisions on issuing a residence permit in Poland. According to the Office for Foreigners, a total of 48,000 applications were submitted by Belarusians.

Last year, Polish state bodies issued 397,900 decisions on residence permits, of which 347,900 were positive.

Belarusians rank second among foreign citizens receiving a residence permit in Poland. Ukrainians are in the lead in this list, having received 218 thousand residence cards. A significant number of residence permits were also issued to citizens of India (10,000), Georgia (8,000) and Turkey (5,000).

Ukrainians submitted the largest number of residence permit applications—286,000. Georgian citizens submitted 19,000 applications, Colombians 18,000, and Indians 16,000.
