The dictator is lying about political prisoner Poczobut.

On January 16, during a visit to the Minsk Technopark, Aliaksandr Lukashenka said that Poland refused “even to talk” about the release of the journalist of the newspaper “Gazeta Wyborcza”, one of the leaders of the Polish diaspora Andrzej Poczobut.

“As for Poczobut, there is nothing to say. I am telling you sincerely as a person who is informed: they have given up on Poczobut. The Poles have refused to even talk about Poczobut,” Lukashenka said.

He also added that, according to his information, Poczobut himself does not want to leave Belarus and move to Poland.

The press secretary of the Polish Foreign Ministry said that Poland has never refused to negotiate with the Belarusian authorities on the release of Andrzej Poczobut.

“If the dictator of Belarus Lukashenka says that he does not know what to do with Poczobut, then I will tell him what needs to be done. First of all, he must release him from prison,” Paweł Wroński said in a commentary to Zerkalo. “Andrzej Poczobut is a proud citizen of Belarus, who is also proud of his Polish origin. But he must be a free man in a free country and live where he wants.”
