Russia Launches Massive Attack On Kyiv Resulting In Victims, Metro Station On Fire

Four people were killed in one of the districts of the Ukrainian capital.

Russia launched a strike on Kyiv early on Saturday morning, January 18. As a result of the attack, four people are known to have died and three were injured. This was reported by the head of the Kyiv city military administration, Timur Tkachenko.

According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, in the Shevchenkivskyi district, windows were knocked out and there is smoke in the entrance of a residential building.

The glass elements of the entrance to the Lukyanivska metro station were also damaged. It is currently closed for entry and exit. Trains are running without stopping at the station.

A water supply pipeline was also damaged in the Shevchenkivskyi district. Repair crews are being sent to the site.

A fall of debris was recorded in the Holosiyivskyi district, but there was no preliminary fire. A fall of debris was also recorded in the Desnyanskyi district of the Ukrainian capital.

According to the State Emergency Service, a fire in three cars in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the capital has been extinguished, and another 10 cars have been damaged. The administrative building, business center buildings, and a store have been partially destroyed. The main water supply line has been damaged. A fire has broken out in one of the buildings, but it has already been localized.
