Belarusian Army Weakens

It is placed between Sri Lanka and Slovakia in the world ranking.

Belarus ranked 70th out of 145 in the updated Military Strength Ranking 2025.

To compile the ranking, the experts have analysed data on the number of armed forces, their equipment and training, the potential of the defence industry and a number of other factors. Nuclear weapons were not taken into account in the analysis.

This year Belarus is located between Sri Lanka and Slovakia at the 70th position. In 2024, our country occupied 64th place, while in 2023 - 60th place.

The first two places, as well as a year earlier, were taken by the United States and Russia. China is on the third position.

The countries neighbouring Belarus took the following places:

Ukraine - 20th place

Poland - 21st place

Lithuania - 88th place

Latvia - 99th place
