The large-scale woodfire is getting stronger.
A massive wildfire whipped up by extreme winds has swept through a Los Angeles hillside dotted with celebrity homes — with a state of emergency declared.
According to the British tabloid The Daily Mail, the enormous blaze in the Pacific Palisades forced the evacuation of tens of thousands of people, some of whom abandoned their cars and fled on foot to safety with roads blocked.
Firefighters battling the blaze, which is burning through about five football fields a minute, warned they were running out of water and supplies, as evacuation warnings spread to Malibu and Calabasas.
Residents were warned the worst is still yet to come as the raging wildfire burns through more than 2,900 acres of Los Angeles land at an extraordinary rate. At least 30,000 residents are now under mandatory evacuation orders with more still warned they should be prepared to leave, after a fire that broke out in the foothills near Eaton Canyon has grown to 1,000 acres in just six hours since it began.
The fire also reached the largest art museum in California and on the West Coast of the United States in general — Getty.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, celebrities have also been affected. Residents who call the area home include Jennifer Aniston, Bradley Cooper, Eugene Levy, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, Reese Witherspoon, Adam Sandler, Michael Keaton, Miles Teller, Michael Mann, Ann Sarnoff, Carole Lombardini, Alan Bergman, Kathleen Kennedy, Steve Guttenberg and James Woods.
On Tuesday, Jennifer Lopez's latest film, Unstoppable, was canceled due to “safety concerns related to high winds and wildfire outbreaks.”
Meanwhile, Amazon MGM Studios and Universal Pictures said Tuesday they were canceling their premiere events scheduled for that night.
Universal had been planning to premiere The Wolf Man, starring Julia Garner and Christopher Abbott, at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
“Tonight's premiere of The Wolf Man has been cancelled due to sensitivity to the deteriorating weather conditions in Los Angeles and the resulting evacuations,” the company said.
Netflix postponed an event for its Oscar contender Emilia Perez “out of an abundance of caution due to the high winds and wildfires currently affecting the Los Angeles area.”
Star Karla Sofia Gascon and composers/songwriters Clément Ducol and Camille were scheduled to attend the event, which was to take place at Grandmaster Recorders in Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, Sony Pictures Classics canceled a screening of I’m Still Here, where Guillermo del Toro was scheduled to host a Q&A with Brazilian director Walter Salles and Golden Globe winner Fernanda Torres. Del Toro was evacuated from his home.
Hollywood actor Ben Affleck reportedly drove to the fire zone to see what was happening.
Hollywood actors Eugene Levy and James Woods evacuated their Los Angeles mansions due to a raging wildfire.
Levy told the Los Angeles Times that he was trapped in traffic among other residents who were trying to leave the Pacific Palisades area.
“The smoke looked pretty black and intense over Temescal Canyon,” said Levy, 78, who is known for his role in the film American Pie. He added that he didn’t see flames, but the smoke was very dark.
Woods, 77, posted on social media X (Twitter — edit.) that he had left his estate and posted a video showing the fire approaching his property.
